A sworn translator and interpreter of French, Ana graduated in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Valladolid. She completed a Master’s Degree in Scientific and Technical Translation at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour (France) as well as a European Master’s Degree in Translation and Intercultural Mediation at the University of Salamanca.
As for her professional career, she dedicated her early working life to the world of tourism, thanks to her Diploma in Tourism bestowed by the University of Salamanca. Later, she started teaching French as a second language and relished any kind of translation project that came her way.
As expected, Ana is a great traveller. She has been studying and working abroad, especially in France and Ireland. She went on an Erasmus year and did her internship abroad, all of which made it possible for her to travel and discover new cultures that have helped her understand different ways of living life to the full. Ana is in love with Asia, especially China, Japan and Thailand, which are some of her most recent getaways; not forgetting Cuba, Morocco, Tunisia… and always Spain, too, again and again. According to Ana, understanding ourselves helps us understand others. Translating is therefore a search for equivalence.
