Literary translation
We translate literature (novels, plays, short stories, poems, etcetera) and different informative content and products, from tourist brochures to more specialised written works (medical journals, abstracts, emails written by and for experts, etcetera).
Literary, translation, as a specialised translation, is proofread by a translator-proofreader who specialises in the target language and in the type of text they are working on.
Furthermore, it requires the translators and proofreaders to do a great deal of research and study about the subject, style and use of language in the original writing and its translation, as well as about its purpose and the kind of readers for whom the original work was published in the first place and the readers for whom the translation will be published.
